I'm so disappointed that I feel like crying. I'm not exagerrating either. Right now, my eyes are burning and are tear stained. Its 3am, I havent been able to put this book down since I got it and I feel like my heart was ripped from my chest. I love Robin of Locksley, Jayr, Alex and Michael ... But for the first time, I was really starting to enjoy John. That's one thing that disappointed me about this book ... Viehl left a huge lose end with John and that breaks my heart immensely. Not only him ... but Guy as well ... I don't feel like the book is finished ... I dont feel like the series is finished. I think one more book could finish the series off properly but I don't think Viehl really thought this one through ... It was as if she was trying to hurry and push through her next series of books, which I will not be reading.

I want to read them but I'm just so hurt and disappointed with this. It would have ended up being great, but there were too many things Viehl left undone and I can't get past it.

So disappointed.

Have read and re-read numerous times the entire catalog for the Darkyn series. GREAT!
Love Lynn Viehl and her Darkyn series. This is one of her best - great plot, fun characters, continuing overall plot line with Michael and Alex; hot, sexy - what more could you want?
I was really looking forward to the next book in this series. The characters that Viehl writes about have "layers" to them. Just when you think you have them figured out, some new twist shows up. Robin was an awesome thief...he should be, he'd been doing it for centuries. The cops had trouble keeping up with his Darkyn powers.....until Chris. Too many people want the same priceless manuscript and for too many reasons. When Chris and Rob have to work together to save everybody, new truths are revealed and some don't come out of this the way they started. Hot love scenes a good build developing the next book.
Yes the true story is out. And here it is, with Robin of Lockley, the Sheriff of Nottingham and what actually happened to Maid Marion. Of course Robin would end up as a Darkyn and even in modern times be still prone to a little thievery. The surprise is when a female FBI agent goes after him. What could Robin do but return the chase? A lot more problems for the Darkyn and other plot twists emerge. Excellent as usual.
The Darkyn series is one of my all time favorites. And oddly I didn't care for the first book that much and if I hadn't already had a few of the others may not have continued. So glad I did. I've read many supernatural, urban romance and these still stand out the most to me in memory. Will read them again soon.
